Drugstore Beauty Fix

Do you ever get the need to buy some more makeup? Who am I kidding, of course you do, I can't be the only one. There are days where I literally want to try every single shade and buy every newproduct that I've been hearing about. So sometimes, I splurge a teeny tiny bit. It's nothing crazy, after all this isn't a Sephora haul, so I haven't broken my budget. I went to Walmart, which actually always has the lowest prices, I'm not even kidding. The only downfall about shopping at Walmart is that you really have to check the products before you buy them to see that they haven't been opened. I try to avoid buying product that doesn't have a plastic packaging on it, or I always go for the ones in the back because they seem to be less touched. I can't tell you how many times I've grabbed a lipstick in Walmart only to open it and see it had been used - the horror.

First, I finally got my hands on the Rimel Apocalips Lip Lacquer and this is such a good product! I'm not doing a proper review, since I haven't had a chance to try everything out but the colour payoff so far is pretty incredible. I fell in love with these lip gloss/lipstick combos are using the Maybelline Color Elixirs for a bit, and I really wanted to see how the other drugstore brands fared off. The Apocalips are so great, I got the shade Apocaliptic and it's a beautiful, vibrant fuschia, which is perfect for spring/summer.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lip Color, which is such a mouthful I had to google the name of these little beauties. These are super similar to the Color Elixirs, and they have such a nice packaging. I got two shades Molto Mauve and Blushing Harmony, which look very similar when I take them out of the packaging to be completely honest, so I'm not sure getting two colours was a good idea. I got these to wear on the days where I don't want to go too makeup heavy and I just want a nice wash of colour on my lips.

Did you guys know they had elf products at Dollarama? I was kind of shocked, because I got this liquid eyeliner for a $1.50! So cheap. I've been using it to perfect my cat eye flick, because it has a super tiny brush which is just perfect to create the perfect wing.

Another L'Oreal find is the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow, which comes in a teeny tiny pot. It's a loose pigment, which I have never used to be honest because that sounds like an accident waiting to happen. I saw a lot people talking about the shade Forever Pink, so I wanted to give it a try and oh my god, it's perfect. I really want to get some more of these because the quality seems really good for the price.

Have you tried any of these products?
Where do you usually go to get the best prices for drugstore makeup?
I want to get more summer colours!
